Privacy Policy

Data we collect

None. CloseList operates offline. There are no servers, no accounts, no cloud database Syncing, no analytical tools, and no third-party SDKs. We cannot access your guest lists or contacts even if we wanted to.

Contacts access

CloseList requests access to your device's contacts list solely to facilitate building your guest list. The names and phone numbers you choose to import are read and stored in the app's local database on your device only.

Importing contacts is completely optional. You can use all of the app's features by manually typing guest names and phone numbers without granting contact list permissions.

Face ID / Touch ID

If you enable the optional Face ID or Touch ID lock feature to secure your guest list, CloseList utilizes iOS native authentication APIs. CloseList never reads, accesses, or stores your biometric information. The Apple iOS operating system handles authentication internally and simply notifies CloseList whether the login succeeded.

WhatsApp and phone calls

When you trigger an invitation action (e.g., clicking send WhatsApp or Call), CloseList opens the official iOS Phone Dialer or WhatsApp app on your device with the guest's number and message text pre-populated.

You send the message yourself via your personal WhatsApp account. CloseList does not transmit messages or dial phone numbers itself, nor does it track whether the message was read or delivered outside of the on-device verification pop-up.

Exports

When you export your guest list as a PDF or spreadsheet, the file is compiled locally on your device. It is shared only when and where you decide using the iOS Share Sheet (e.g., email, messaging apps, AirDrop, or local file storage).

Data deletion

Because your data lives exclusively on your phone, you have absolute control over it. You can erase all data at any time by navigating to More → Reset App inside the settings. Alternatively, simply uninstalling the CloseList app from your iPhone automatically erases the local database and all associated records.

Children's privacy

CloseList does not target, market to, or knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since the app gathers no network data, children's online privacy is fully preserved.
